Our client Sciex came to us seeking a solution that would help offset the difficulties involved with manufacturing in Australia, including long turnaround times and distance issues. Sciex deals specifically with Wire Grid assemblies, and B.C. Instruments knew it had what it took to help out.
Our team laid out the solution several stages to develop four separate wire winding machines based on our intimate knowledge of CNC machining, as well as experience with textile technologies and glass fiber communication cable manufacturing.
In the end, B.C. Instruments was able to manufacture complete Wire Grid assemblies in house. As a result, B.C. Instruments now manufactures all critical components that are used in the ion path of spectrometers.
